Sellers Have Returned But Strong Buyer's Demand Outpaced New Listings

More sellers are back in the market, but demand is still outpacing supply

Home sellers are now back in the market and the number of new homes being listed is recovering. But still, with the strong buyer’s demands, the growing supply of new listings are being outpaced.

New pending sales are up 21.3% from the same week last year and the median days to pending are 6 days. On the other hand, new listings are 5.3% down from last year and 2.4% down from last week.

Median sale price also increased 5.2% from last year, thus amounting to $425, 375.

According to Fannie Mae’s National Housing Survey, 45% of the respondents from last month believe that now is a good time to sell a home. Still, due to the fast-paced increase of pending sales, the total number of homes for sale are still down.

Bottom Line
