Mountain View neighborhood is now Bend’s most populous. It is located to the northeast of Pilot Butte. With an abundance of apartments and condominiums, Mountain View is a popular spot for new arrivals to Bend and the site of many of Bend’s more recent developments, including at least one experimental co-housing community.

Since 2013, Worthy Brewing has been a dining destination in Mountain View. It also boasts a greenhouse and hop yard onsite for growing estate and experimental hops in conjunction with Oregon State University and Indie Hops.

The Forum Shopping Center

The Forum Shopping Center is an extremely busy shopping development on Bend’s eastern edge. Anchored by major brands like Costco, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble and McDonald’s, it features a wide array of stores and restaurants.

While it’s not a terribly pedestrian friendly area, it has some great restaurants, and you can find just about everything you need, from the latest bestseller to dishes to office supplies to 100 pounds of just about anything from Costco.

The Whole Foods gets a lot of traffic during the lunch hour with their selection of fast, easy, delicious and healthful fare, but don’t miss out on local favorites Hola for Mexican food and Baldy’s BBQ (which serves breakfast, hard to find on the east side).

From the basics like Safeway for groceries and Pier 1 for home goods to the more interesting and local Wild Birds Unlimited, whatever you are seeking is conveniently accessible at the Forum Shopping Center.

Conveniently located off of 27th and Neff Rd, St. Charles hospital has an Urgent Care facility, emergency care, birthing rooms and more.
